About AMBA

AMBA is an organization that has been dedicated exclusively to the U.S. Mold Manufacturing industry for over 35 years.

AMBA is governed by volunteering members serving as AMBA Board of Directors and Officers (president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer) and is staffed by full-time employees. AMBA represents nearly 300 member companies comprised of approximately 9,000 employees and representing just over $2 billion in annual tooling sales. Members span 31 states with 12 chapter affiliations.

AMBA member companies serve original equipment manufacturers in every industry including automotive, medical, electronics/electrical, toys, recreation and sporting goods, building and construction, lawn and garden, consumer, and industrial. AMBA also has members that provide services and/or materials directly related to the mold building industry. The members are custom "job shops" and quote jobs on time and/or material.

The strength, which the AMBA and its members create through business management and educational programs, helps to ensure a healthy future for both large and small member companies, resulting in quality molds built in America.

AMBA Members
Member companies range from small, specialty niche organizations to large, full-service firms, and equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and CAD/CAM technology to provide the best in new-product and mold design and build. AMBA members have a commitment to quality and service unparalleled in the world. AMBA serves as a voice for U.S. mold builders while providing its members with valuable benefits and programs.

AMBA addresses issues that affect moldmaking companies in such matters as global and legislative issues; new technologies; improving profits; and education and training programs. In addition to establishing ethics and guidelines for the Industry, the AMBA disseminates relevant information through its quarterly publication, The American Mold Builder. We also encourage members to share ideas and experiences that will improve their business through AMBA annual conventions, conferences and local chapter meetings.

AMBA's Mission
The AMBA’s mission is dedicated to raise awareness of the industry to mold builders, customers, government and educators while providing member services that drive overall conpetitiveness and continuous improvement in a world market for our members.

AMBA's Vision
To be the industry leading resource and vehicle for change to moldbuilders, customers, government and educators and to support leading US moldbuilders to achieve long-term success.
